At Sheringham Point in Juan de Fuca Strait (between British Columbia, Canada, and Washington state, USA) in thick fog/near zero visibility. Chilly and damp.

Kidding. We’re still about three miles distant from the point. 😂 But you’d never know it…so, thank you 20th c. navigation tech (radar). (As an aside, did you know that the modern microwave oven came as the result of an accidental discovery by a radar engineer? He was standing near a magnetron, which produces microwave radiation —the guts of a radar

— and a chocolate bar in his pocket melted. He then later tested the discovery on eggs and popcorn. So, thank you, Percy Spencer! But we only have radar onboard, no microwave; too big and bulky for a small boat.)
